2010年5月26日，這首歌曲的片段最初由用戶 Vero 上傳到WatZatSong上。[1]然而，該用戶並未提供關於這首歌曲的任何信息，並且也沒有提供該歌曲的更長音頻片段，另外，該音頻片段因不明原因有明顯地被多次跳過。
2011年10月27日，WatZatSong用戶 SergiodeClay 上傳了這首歌曲的另一個音頻片段。[2]不幸的是，該用戶也與上一位OP一樣沒有提供這首歌曲的任何信息和更長的音頻片段。
2022年2月7日，用戶 Jamie Russell-White 將這首歌曲發布到YouTube上。但與前兩位OP上傳的音頻片段不同的是，Jamie 上傳的音頻片段更長，但音頻質量較差。並且 Jamie 還表示，這首歌曲的音頻是從一家現已停播的阿根廷電台上錄製的。[3]
2022年2月25日，某個用戶詢問 SergiodeClay 是否有該歌曲的更長音頻片段，而 SergiodeClay 則表示他已經沒有更長的音頻片段。
2024年，用戶 Unexpectedlyvile 將這首歌曲轉發到了r/Lostwave子版塊上。並且該用戶還注意到 Jamie 上傳的音頻片段開頭有穿插着電台播音員在說話的聲音[4]，而該用戶推測這位電台播音員是在說「Mendes」或「Mendel」。
Jamie 評論了 Unexpectedlyvile 的帖子，並說這首歌曲的音頻是由其中一位將該歌曲發布到WatZatSong上的OP寄給他的。他說OP大約在1995年之後錄製了這首歌曲，但是他不確定這其中的具體時間範圍。
2025年6月7日，Jamie 回復了這篇帖子裏的其中一則評論，並表示這首歌曲的音頻檔案建立時間顯示是在2022年1月27日，然而，這只是他從OP那收到這音頻檔案的日期。另外，Jamie 還說這音頻檔案的元數據沒有提供任何有用的訊息。
2025年6月11日，SergiodeClay 稱他的這首歌曲音頻是在1998年至2003年之間錄製的。
2025年6月22日，用戶Fandroidfan2002發現了一首名為Say that you Love Me的歌曲版權登記，歌曲作者為Gina G.和Gregory Clive Young，他聯繫了這兩位作者，Gina回復了他，證實了這首歌是他們寫的，但她忘記了歌手是誰。[5]
2025年6月23日，Gina確認這首歌錄製於1998-1999年，且這首歌並未正式發行，她不清楚這首歌為何會出現在廣播節目中。歌曲的另一位作者Gregory至今無任何回復。
